Use Cases

Popular Use Cases

Professionals & Executives

Ensure your profile banner looks polished and your headshot doesn't obscure key branding or messaging.

Company Pages

Check that your company banner's logo and name don't overlap important visuals in the left 300px of the banner.

Content Creators

Verify that post images look correct on both desktop and mobile before scheduling. Avoid the mobile 1:1 crop zone for key content.

Recruiters & HR Teams

Make sure job listing images and company banners display professionally across all devices and LinkedIn placements.

Tips

Pro Tips

01

Design for mobile crop first

LinkedIn crops Post Images to 1:1 on mobile feeds. Keep your most important content within the central square to avoid it being cut off on phones.

02

Account for the profile picture

Your profile picture (approx. 180px circle) sits in the bottom-left of your Profile Banner. Avoid placing text or logos in that area.

03

Company logo takes left space

On Company Banners, the company logo and name overlay the left ~300px. Place all key visuals in the right two-thirds of the banner.

04

Use 80px padding for post images

LinkedIn's safe zone for Post Images includes an 80px padding on all sides. Keep text, logos, and faces away from the edges.

05

Check desktop and mobile separately

Profile Banners look different on desktop vs mobile. The desktop view is 4:1, while mobile may show a smaller cropped version — always check both.

06

Export guides for stakeholder review

Download the annotated image with guides enabled to share with clients or teammates for sign-off before publishing.
