Leave top space on Shorts
YouTube Shorts shows a Subscribe button in the top 250px. Keep your opening visual below this area to avoid important content being hidden on first impression.
Avoid the bottom on Shorts
The bottom 400px of a Short is occupied by the like, comment, and share buttons plus the channel name. Keep all key visuals above y=1520.
