How to tailor your post text, hashtags, and settings for each platform individually within a single Postprism post.
Each platform has a different audience, tone, and character limit. LinkedIn posts perform best with professional language and no hashtag overload. Twitter/X demands brevity (280 characters). Instagram favours hashtags and emojis. Writing one version for all platforms usually underperforms on every one.
Once you select platforms in the editor, each platform gets its own tab. Click a platform tab to see and edit the version that will be published there.
Changes in a platform tab only affect that platform. Your base content in the main editor remains untouched.
The hashtag field in each platform tab is independent. Instagram typically benefits from 5–15 hashtags. LinkedIn performs better with 2–4 focused ones. Twitter/X hashtags count toward the 280-character limit, so use them sparingly.
Facebook: Choose a background colour preset for text-only posts. You can also enable "First Comment Injection" to post hashtags as the first comment instead of in the main post body.
Pinterest: Select the board you want to pin to from the board selector that appears in the Pinterest tab.
LinkedIn: Toggle between personal profile and company page publishing if you have a company page connected.
